The Gateway
of Alnukhaib
Commissioned to define the entrance to Al Nukhaib City, this monumental gateway serves as both a welcoming landmark and a symbol of regional identity in the Al Anbar Governorate. Spanning 25 meters across a major multi-lane highway, the 11-meter-tall structure provides a 12-meter clear span that frames the vast desert landscape while establishing a striking civic presence. Built on a robust structural steel frame, the monument is clad in highly durable, golden metallic Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) specified with a PVDF coating to withstand the harsh desert climate and maintain its luster. The design integrates modern architectural scale with culturally significant motifs, utilizing classical arching forms and symbolic relief elements including eagles, camels, and traditional coffee pots (Dallah). The surrounding infrastructure incorporates manicured landscaping and integrated pedestrian access, creating a cohesive, welcoming transition into the city limits.
